About Us
Adventure Thamserku Treks & Expeditions (Pvt.) Ltd is a Nepalese trekking and mountain guiding company. Based in Kathmandu, we design treks & expeditions in the Himalayas with the motto not only to reach but to explore. Safety is also a prime consideration.
We have a team of experienced leaders, cooks and sherpa guides dedicated to providing you with an extraordinary and unforgettable experience of our wonderful Himalayan kingdom of Nepal. Our teams are renowned for providing considerate and friendly service to their clients, whether walking along the Himalayan foothills, trekking through the middle valleys or scaling dizzy heights of major peaks. We take care of all who trek with us.Our network of treks extends over the Himalayas of Nepal and Tibet. There is so much exciting scenery, with surprises at every step. You will have the adventure of a lifetime, and the opportunity to achieve something special.
Adventure Thamserku provides sensible, high quality equipment on all treks. We organize the logistics of the whole trip including air or land transportation, hotel reservations, airport transfers, sightseeing, permits and national park fees. Our assistance is offered with arranging additional excursions before or after your trek, such as wildlife safaris, rafting, and scenic flights.

Dawa Geljen Sherpa heads the Adventure Thamserku operation. A qualified mountaineering guide, Dawa has been leading treks and expeditions for over 26 years.
Born in Lukla, Dawa has an impressive climbing record in the Himalaya, having been on expeditions to Everest, Cho Oyu, Broad Peak, Baruntse, and Ama Dablam amongst others. He is extremely highly regarded by clients, peers and staff alike. A popular and in-demand leader, Dawa conducts most of the mountaineering trips himself, and prides himself on hand-picking skilled, knowledgeable and experienced staff for all other treks, to ensure the success of each one and the enjoyment of each participant. His English is fluent and idiomatic, and he enjoys the social interaction with his clients.
Being a local, Dawa has extensive knowledge of the areas we trek through, and friends and relatives all along the way. You will be assured of a warm welcome wherever you stay, and have the opportunity to make personal contact with the Sherpa community and make your own friends in Nepal, too.
Porter Welfare
Our concern for the wellbeing of all extends to our trekking staff as well. Porters are paid fairly and care is taken that the weight of their loads is never excessive. Adventure Thamserku ensures that all porters are equipped with boots, protective clothing, warm hats & gloves, and sunglasses. On camping treks they are also supplied with sleeping bags or blankets and insulated mats. All are fully insured and have access to first aid, medical assistance and emergency evacuation if required.
